Rules for using PicSpectra’s image converter, PDF tools, and other free utilities.

By using PicSpectra, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, please don't use our service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using PicSpectra ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PicSpectra provides a suite of free online tools for image and document processing, including but not limited to:

  • Converting images between various formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP, HEIC, TIFF)
  • Compressing and optimizing images
  • Resizing images
  • Converting between PDF and image formats
  • Merging PDF documents
  • Capturing website screenshots

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind.

3. Use of Service

Permitted Use

You may use PicSpectra to:

  • Process your own files for personal or commercial purposes.
  • Process files you have the legal right and permission to use.
  • Use the converted images and documents for any lawful purpose.

Prohibited Use

You may NOT use the Service to:

  • Upload, convert, or process any content that is illegal, offensive, pornographic, or infringes on any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights.
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service's servers (e.g., via bots, scripts, or DDoS attacks).
  • Upload any files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
  • Resell, re-license, or redistribute the Service itself without our explicit written permission.

We reserve the right to block any user or IP address found to be abusing the Service.

4. Content Ownership and Rights

Your Content

You retain all ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights to the files you upload. We claim no ownership over your content.

By using the Service, you grant PicSpectra a temporary, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and modify your content *solely* for the purpose of providing the requested service to you (e.g., converting, resizing, or compressing your file).

Our Rights

PicSpectra and all associated trademarks, logos, and content (text, design, graphics) are owned by us and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not use our branding without permission.

5. File Handling and Deletion

This is also covered in our Privacy Policy, but to be clear:

  • All uploaded files are stored temporarily on our servers for processing.
  • All original and converted files are **automatically and permanently deleted** from our servers within 1-2 hours.
  • We do not create backups of your files.
  • You are responsible for downloading your converted files before this deletion window. We are not liable for any lost data.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

PicSpectra is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available.
  • The results of a conversion or compression will be perfectly accurate or meet your specific requirements.
  • Our servers are free of viruses or other harmful components (though we take all reasonable precautions).

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PicSpectra (including its owners and operators) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption) arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. You use the Service entirely at your own risk.

8. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

  • The content you upload and your right to use it.
  • Backing up your original files before using our tools.
  • Verifying the quality and accuracy of your converted files.
  • Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PicSpectra from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your infringement of any third party's rights.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
